These apartments are owned by us, the Griffin family. Probably a mad decision for two 40 somethings to invest their pension money abroad, but we have had a lot more fun doing this than opening the annual statement envelope.

Situated on the sunny Costa Almeria close to Vera Playa, these lovely traditional apartments are surrounded by dozens of beautiful beaches, a water park, opportunities for water sports above and below the sea, cycling in the challenging desert terrain, horse riding, caving and ceramic painting. Golfing is very popular and both apartments are within a 20 minute drive of the Desert Springs, Valle D'Este and Cortijo Grande courses as well as many other lesser known ones, so it is an excellent break for a winter golfing holiday. The nearby traditional villages of Mojacar Pueblo and Sorbas are a painter's dream. The fishing village of Garrucha and local horticulture ensure a foodies paradise. The nearest airport is 40 minutes away, and flying is easy from most UK regional airports. Although you can walk to the beach and to restaurants from both apartments, car hire is recommended. The Spanish welcome children and there are plenty of activities to keep them easily occupied, especially at Al Andalus Hills.
In the Winter months, the stunning Sierra Nevada and Sierra Cabrera mountains offer winter sports for those who don't mind a 2 1/2 hour minute drive, perhaps making your visit a 2-centre break.
