We still have high hopes of owning this lovely property one day, but in true 'scary documentary' form, there is one crucial piece of paper missing that we are not happy to complete without so we have to wait for the slow Spanish system to grind on. I would urge anyone thinking of buying in Spain to follow their dream, but just make sure that, like us, you secure a bank guarantee on the property as you sign. Certainly takes the financial worry out of any delays.

Jardines is a new small exclusive complex situated on the outskirts of the traditional Spanish village of Palomares. The large private sun terrace is an excellent sheltered sun trap all year round for the keen sun worshipper. The village, just a few minutes's walk away, has recently been modernised but still has all the traditional shops (bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, etc) as well as a variety of bars and restaurants around the new plaza. The beach in front of the apartment will eventually be re-developed into 'Marina Rey' - a new leisure boat & restaurant complex. To take advantage of the lovely nearby beach of Villaricos (less than 5 minutes away) a car is recommended as there is currently but it can be walked in about 15 minutes. Villaricos is home to one of the best restaurants in the area - El Mar La Mar, whose resident chef is Richard Skinner. This apartment is in the same village as Desert Springs Golf Course.
The apartment is just waiting for connection of mains services and a spot of decorating by us - but it will be completed to a high standard with modern spanish decoration and comfortable furnishings.
